Krabi
Krabi province is an area of outstanding natural beauty. The beautiful resort consists of more than 150 islands dotted the Andaman Sea. Located 800 km /500 miles/ South of Bangkok and with an airport Krabi is now beginning to pretend to be a worldwide tourist destination. Together with Phuket and Pattaya Krabi is in the top sea resorts in Thailand. According to some historians Krabi is one of the oldest settlements in Thailand. There have been discovered stone tools, ancient colored pictures and skeletons dating some 25,000 – 35,000 BC. The origin of the name Krabi is a result after a wrong pronunciation of the local tree known as "Lumphi". The Chinese and Malay merchants mispronunciated the name to "Ko-lo-bi" or "Ka-lu-bi" and finally resulted in "Krabi" meaning “sword”. The population of the Krabi province is about 370,000. The capital city is Krabi.

The coastline is dotted with tens of gorgeous small and deserted islands surrounded by coral reefs, limestone formations towering from the crystalline clear waters covered in bright-green fauna.
