Koh Chang /Island/

Koh Chang Island /also known as Elephant Island/ is located on the Southeastern coast of Thailand in the province of Trat. Koh Chang is also the second largest island in Thailand after Phuket covering an area of 430 square km /170 square miles/ and is located about 225 km /140 miles/ Southeast from Bangkok. Koh Chang along with all the other 50 islands in the province of Trat form the Mu Koh Chang Marine National Park featuring fine beaches, coral reefs, and plentiful marine life. Koh Chang is thought to be the best nature preserved holiday destination in Thailand with more than 70% of virgin rainforests. The island is also rich in different natural resources like hills, forests, spectacular waterfalls, streams and huge diversity of wildlife.

Having an airport just 15 minutes from the pier in Trat, Koh Chang is twice a day serviced with flights from Bangkok, Phuket and Koh Samui by Bangkok Airways and Thai Airways. The flight from Bangkok is about 50 minutes. On Koh Chang you will find white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, many kinds of different accommodation, magnificent viewing points from a hill-tops, great cuisine and variety of water sports. Or just go to the White Sand Beach to enjoy the sunset.
