Phang Nga
The province of Phang Nga is located about 790 km /500 miles/ Southwest of Bangkok and has an outlet on the Andaman Sea and densely forested inland. The province covers an area of 4,200 square km /1,600 square miles/ and is a major agricultural province of South Thailand with rubber plantations, rice, fruits and vegetables.
The province although small has much to offer to tourists with any kind of interests. Phang Nga has many national parks. Ao Phang Nga National Park providing some of the best beaches in Thailand with tens of small islands in the background or the unique caves and limestone formations lifted high above the crystal clear water. Or the island groups of Surin and Similan serving one of the best opportunities for divers or those who like cave exploration. Khao Lak is another national park with picturesque waterfalls and bird reserve. In conclusion if you have already visited Phuket, Krabi, Phi Phi or Pattaya and you are tired of them Phang Nga is the place for your next holiday. The best time to visit Phan Nga is between November and May.
