Koh Samet (Koh Samed) is located in the Gulf of Thailand some 200 km /125 miles/ Southeast of Bangkok. Koh Samet is in the Rayong province and is located about 7 km from mainland and it takes about an hour-drive from Pattaya. You have to take a boat at Ban Phe port which is nearby Rayong town and the cruise to Koh Samet last for 30 minutes.
