Cha Am

Cha Am is another beach resort city nearby Bangkok. Located just about 160 km /100 miles/ from Bangkok and 20 km from Hua Hin, Cha Am is also a perfect solution for calm a holiday. Situated North of Hua Hin, in the Gulf Of Thailand Cha Am is said to have the longest sand beach in Thailand. If you look for a calmer and with less nightlife destination Cha Am is the place as it is less known resort and the main guests are Thai people. But during the holidays it gets a bit packed so have in mind.

One of the main attractions is the Summer Palace of King Rama VI - Phra Ratchaniwet Marukhathayawan – that is located some 9 km South of Cha Am. The palace is opened for the public during office hours so you can go there sightseeing. There is a good selection of various accommodation, tasty seafood is offered everywhere at reasonable prices. Compared to Hua Hin, Cha Am is much quieter and with limited shopping but with ideal conditions for pure relaxation.
